We needed a high-performance tool that fulfilled our need for optimal safety.
For the last three years, in the centre of Brest, the Maison Kaer has offered comprehensive medical and surgical care for the face and body. Since our expertise covers both aesthetic medicine and surgery, we wanted to offer tailored solutions that combine surgical expertise with innovative technologies. Though surgery is at the heart of our approach, non-invasive laser treatments add the finishing touches by optimising the results and expanding the treatment’s possibilities.
Faced with a high demand for correcting pigmentary and vascular lesions, acne and skin rejuvenation, we were looking for a laser platform that would be able to respond to these different indications without filling our practice with machines.

One of our main challenges was to find a reliable and versatile device that was comfortable to use. We used to have a painful sub-ablative laser in our practice, so pain-free and comfortable treatment was one of our priorities. We were also looking for a treatment suitable for all skin types that we could carry out all year round. Our patients are active and do a lot of outdoor sports, and they want convincing results with minimal post-operative after effects. Finally, beyond the indications of aesthetic medicine, this tool was to be part of our post-surgery arsenal, whether for treating the swelling and bruising from facial surgery or to improve the scars left by the operations.
During our search, we were particularly interested in Aerolase’s combined, short-pulse Nd:Yag and Erbium:Yag lasers because they allowed us to treat all skin types with very little downtime. The Neo Elite® is designed to treat a multitude of dermatological issues, offering targeted solutions that are adapted to the specific requirements of each patient. The Era Elite® is a new class of resurfacing laser that allows us to prevent and treat the signs of skin aging and which rivals CO2 lasers. This high-precision laser renews the epidermis to treat dilated pores, sun damage, scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and skin quality.
These two lasers work well when used as part of a medical aesthetic treatment plan, as well as being a complement to reparative surgery. We believe it is a new, gentle option for rejuvenating and preventing skin aging, offering long-lasting results that our patients will love.
For all of these reasons, we decided upon the Aerolase range. Its ability to deliver controlled energy with short pulses of between 650 and 300 microseconds allows us to achieve high fluences without the need for any anaesthetic, for 36 indications approved by the FDA. These two lasers can be used on all phototypes and the option of combining a deep rejuvenation treatment using the Neo Elite® with controlled ablation using the Era Elite® in one session really won us over.
