EMFACE stands as the only non-invasive solution to stimulate both the lifting muscles and the dermis, delivering natural results, alone or in combination with other procedures. Facial aging affects all tissues from the bone structure to the surface and therefore involves the bone, muscle, fat and skin structures. It is the result of these changes that is responsible for the major sign of facial aging: sagging. The analysis and treatment of facial aging therefore uses the “inside-out” concept.
EMFACE addresses two of these pillars: muscle sagging and dermal degeneration. Thanks to an exclusive technology combining synchronised radiofrequency (RF) and HIFES™ (High-Intensity Focused Electrical Stimulation), EMFACE simultaneously treats the superficial dermis and deep muscles, particularly the elevator muscles (frontal, zygomatic, risorius). Radiofrequency induces dermal reshaping by increasing collagen (+26%) and elastin (+2x) production, with an average reduction in wrinkles of 37% and an overall improvement in skin texture. At the same time, HIFES™ generates supramaximal muscle contractions, restoring muscle tone (+30%) without pain or social exclusion.
A standalone or synergistic solution
EMFACE is an attractive alternative for patients who do not want invasive techniques (social exclusion, fear of pain or needles, etc.) or who have contraindications (patients on anticoagulants, history of keloids or autoimmune diseases, etc.). It is also an interesting tool in the context of anti-aging for young patients with early signs of sagging.
It can also be integrated into combined protocols:
• With botulinum toxin injections that aim to relax the depressor muscles, while EMFACE tones the elevator muscles, resulting in a natural effect on the contours of the face (oval).
• With volumising hyaluronic acid injections that restore volume in addition to muscle action, or skin boosters that enhance the dermal action of RF.
• With collagen inducers (PLLA, CaHA) to synergistically complement tissue stimulation for prolonged effectiveness.
• With other non-injectable collagen stimulation procedures such as peels or certain lasers.
Clinical studies on more than 3,000 treatments, conducted in 15 centres with 10 evaluation methods, confirm the overall effectiveness of EMFACE: tone, lift, reduction of double chin, improvement of facial contour and reduction of periorbital bags.
A complete facial treatment
The four applicators (frontal, jugal, submentum, periorbital) allow for comprehensive anatomical treatment. The submentum treatment specifically targets the digastric muscle to reduce sagging and fat, while the periorbital applicator treats bags, dark circles and crow’s feet.
