ANTI-AGE MAGAZINE: Why did you choose to integrate LUMERA® and ORIGIN® by Deleo into your practice?
Dr Eric Sarfati: In our daily practice, patients are looking for effective and simple solutions that allow them to quickly resume their professional and social activities. The ORIGIN® laser, a non-ablative fractional laser, meets these expectations perfectly. As an ophthalmologist, I frequently work on the periocular area, which is particularly sensitive. ORIGIN® makes it possible to treat this region with perfectly managed recovery, while ensuring optimal results. Combining ORIGIN® with another technology such as LUMERA® enhances results and reduces post-treatment effects.
AAM: What convinced you about LUMERA®?
Dr E.S.: LUMERA® is a versatile LED lamp. What appealed to me was its ability to adjust several parameters: colour, power, exposure time, as well as continuous or fractional mode.
Thanks to this flexibility, we can offer a holistic approach to care, acting both on tissue regeneration and on post-procedure recovery. LUMERA® therefore perfectly complements other techniques such as lasers.
AAM: What does ORIGIN® bring to your daily practice?
Dr E.S.: ORIGIN® is a non-ablative fractional laser with 70-micron coagulation columns – among the finest on the market. This means fast recovery, minimal inconvenience for the patient, and quickly visible results. It fully meets the expectations of patients seeking effective yet gentle solutions.
AAM: Do you NOTICE a synergy between ORIGIN® and LUMERA®?
Dr E.S.: Absolutely. Combining the LUMERA® LED with the ORIGIN® laser optimises results, improving skin quality and texture, while further reducing the already minimal post-treatment effects. It is a winning combination in a comprehensive care strategy.
AAM: What feedback do you receive from your patients?
Dr E.S.: It is essential to explain from the outset that optimal treatment requires several sessions – usually three to four. Patients understand this well, provided they are properly informed.
Results are progressive and aligned with their expectations. What is also highly appreciated is ORIGIN®’s ability to treat all skin phototypes, including higher ones, as long as the parameters are adapted. I regularly treat phototypes 4 and even 5 successfully.
AAM: A final word?
Dr E.S.: ORIGIN® is not a CO₂ laser. It is a non-ablative laser, far less aggressive, with mild after-effects and results that develop gradually over the weeks, even after the last session.
Once patients understand this process and adhere to the treatment protocol, the results speak for themselves.
