How can we optimise our beauty treatment regime? In order for anti-aging treatments to have an effect, our regime must be comprehensive and must include the nourishment of our cells via the microcirculation.
The cell is the basic functional unit of our body, but in order to carry out its functions it requires nutrients, which are provided by what we eat and are distributed to the cells through the microcirculation.
The role nitric oxide plays in microcirculation
Nitric oxide (NO) is biosynthesised by enzymes in the blood vessels, causing the smooth muscle cells in the vessel walls to relax and thus making the blood vessels dilate. This vasodilation increases blood flow and improves the microcirculation.
N.O.logy®: a new technique for stimulating NO production
A device with systemic effects has been developed to improve microcirculation: Pulsewave®. This high-tech suit has 12 compartments which inflate to the rhythm of the heartbeat from the ankles towards the abdomen, thus optimising blood flow. This mechanical stimulus increases the friction and forces exerted on the inner lining of the blood vessels and boosts the activity of the enzyme that synthesises NO. The treatment naturally improves the microcirculation to our cells without any effort or constraints upon our body.
In a study carried out using this device alone, significant improvements were recorded after 12 sessions (women of between 56 and 62 years of age):
Volume of wrinkles reduced by up to 22%
Visibility and appearance of wrinkles reduced by up to 18%
Skin tone evened out by up to 42%
By stimulating NO production in the blood vessels, the distribution of nutrients to our cells is optimised and the overall quality of the skin is improved.
NO is a veritable youthfulness molecule for our body.
