A complete makeover at Spa Sisley, La Bastide de Gordes, France

Following the extensive renovations that began in 2014, the Spa Sisley has doubled in size and now covers 1,600m2 in the heart of the famous Bastides de Gordes. This Cistercian setting (the booths look like monastic cells) now offers better comfort and more luxuriousness, a blend of wood and stone in one of France’s quaintest villages! The sublime terrace that looks out over Provence, and the superb steam room, indoor swimming pool and hair salon will make you feel like a new person.

Thanks to its renovations, the Bastide de Gordes has become one of the most beautiful houses in Provence, and has obtained the Palace classification. Its owner, Lov Hotel Collection, also wanted to add some new services, such as opening an authentic trattoria in the Bastide de Pierres, opposite the château, and promoting a “honeymoon” package, concerts and children’s treasure hunt, all topped off with gourmet Provençale cuisine overseen by three Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, who will titillate your taste buds with lamb fresh from the Alps or “Ocre Roussillon”, a nod to the local region.
