COOLMINI®: treats a double chin without surgery or injections!

Coolsculpting is continuing its quest for innovation in the market of non-invasive fat-reduction treatments. After cutting treatment times by half and making its treatments more comfortable and more effective, Coolsculpting is now focusing on the most difficult-to-treat areas of the body, having made the double chin its new target!

Known for being an area of fat that resists all kinds of diet or exercise, a double chin is something that between 26% and 81% of the population* who claim to have an excess of localised fat would like to get rid of.

In today’s social climate, in which appearance is of prime importance, 8%* of these people would be prepared to undergo cosmetic surgery, while 72%* would prefer a non-surgical approach.

This explains the hype around the launch of the new COOLMINI applicator, which can be used to treat small areas of localised fat, such as double chins (or knees or arms), to achieve results similar to liposuction but without surgery or injections.

RESHAPING THE OVAL OF THE FACE

“Just like the Coolsculpting applicators used on the body, the Coolmini is a non-invasive, pain-free technique (no pulling or pinching). The results are similar to liposuction but without surgery, without breaking the skin, and without injections. Thanks to this small applicator designed especially for under the chin, we are able to reduce these, often unsightly, fat stores that weigh down the face. Treatment involves sucking the fat into the applicator, which will then lower the temperature of the area from 37° to around 4° in just a few minutes. The epidermis is protected by an isolating pad covered with a protective gel (no risk of necrosis or burning). The cold only targets the fat.

The adipocytes are then naturally and gradually eliminated by the body. The metabolism is not affected in any way.

During the treatment, the patient might feel an intense cold sensation at the beginning, but this gradually wears off after 5 to 10 minutes, as the treatment area goes numb. Sometimes, this numbness persists for the first week, but then wears off quickly.” Dr Nelly Gauthier, aesthetic doctor.

Cost: Around €700 for a central fatty bulge, up to €1,500 if there are two separate budges to be treated on either side of the chin. The results are permanent.
