What is senescence?
Senescence is the concept explaining what happens to the fibroblast: we know that we lose collagen in the skin, but we recently discovered that we are not capable of reproducing, rebuilding all this collagen because of the collapse of fibroblasts. So, as we get older, these fibroblasts collapse, and they lose the capacity to produce new collagen.
