ESTYME®: the new range of cold-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with COLD-X technology by Symatese

  • 24th October 2025
  • Thierry PIOLATTO

Discover the benefits of this new range through the testimonials of two physicians
who had the opportunity to test it exclusively.

SYMATESE is a French group specialising in the design and production of innovative medical devices, built around 4 technological platforms: silicones, hyaluronic acids, collagens, and thermoplastics. With over 25 years of expertise, it develops cutting-edge solutions for both aesthetic and therapeutic purposes.

ANTI-AGE MAGAZINE: Why did you choose to integrate this range?

DOCTOR BENJAMIN NGÔ: For several reasons. First, I had a positive initial impression, as I was already familiar with the Symatese group for its OBT technology, its excellent R&D department, and the quality of its clinical studies. The good relationship with the sales representatives further strengthened my trust. I also appreciated the packaging: elegant, compact, and practical for the clinic. After testing the products, the rheological properties and the precise placement of the gel convinced me to incorporate the range into my daily practice.

DOCTOR SOPHIE CONVERSET: This new hyaluronic acid has been developed using an innovative cold-chain crosslinking process, which helps preserve its molecular integrity. Its structure is primarily composed of long chains, known to be significantly less inflammatory than short chains, which are often responsible for more pronounced tissue reactions. Additionally, the BDDE content has been reduced, enhancing the product’s biocompatibility and overall safety. These combined features result in better tolerance, more comfortable clinical outcomes, and long-lasting aesthetic effectiveness. Moreover, I have personally been involved in all clinical studies over the past seven years, which allows me to confirm its excellent tolerance, seamless integration, and the durability of its results.

AAM: What is your flagship product and for which indications do you use it?

DR. B.N.: I use Form, Sculpt, and Lips.

Sculpt immediately appealed to me for restoring deep facial volumes, particularly in the midface area, either via periosteal gunshot injection or sub-SMAS cannula injection to enhance lifting vectors. Its low hydrophilic profile is ideal for facial contouring, including jawline masculinisation or rejuvenation, and medical rhinoplasty. Form is the “Swiss army knife” of the range: it restores superficial volumes with natural integration, hydrates, and adapts to both static and dynamic facial movements. It’s particularly useful for treating the upper third of the face (forehead concavity), nasogenian folds, and for lip support in combination with red lip treatments. Lips provides natural volumisation of the lips, restoring a plump appearance and offering good hydration without the “fuzzball” effect seen with some products that don’t integrate well.

DR. S.C.: I don’t have a “flagship” product. I’m very satisfied with the entire range. In fact, the clinical studies have covered various anatomical areas of the face: nasolabial folds of course (comparative study), cheekbones, and the perioral region.

AAM: What do you find unique about this range?

DR. B.N.: The ease of injection with the Estyme range, thanks to its satisfying viscosity, which allows for precise control of the injected quantities.

DR. S.C.: I particularly appreciated the ease of injection across the entire range, including the volumising product, as well as its good short-term integration, with minimal post-injection swelling—especially in sensitive areas like the lips. A two-year post-marketing study allowed me to observe natural-looking results, with no signs of fibrosis in the various anatomical regions of the face treated.

AAM: What results do you observe?

DR. B.N.: In the short term, excellent tissue integration. In the medium term, very positive patient feedback. I’m awaiting long-term results, which are essential for evaluating the durability of a hyaluronic acid product.

DR. S.C.: Clinical studies have highlighted the product’s good clinical tolerance and, most importantly, the long-term and mid-term tissue flexibility. The extrusion force is highly satisfactory. Each product adapts well to its designated anatomical area; its texture is suited to the injection site and the type of correction required. It responds effectively to the constraints of the injection site, such as tissue density and muscular activity.

AAM: What would you say to a hesitant colleague?

DR. B.N.: You have to try it: if you try it, you’ll love it.

DR. S.C.: This new hyaluronic acid is safe, natural, and easy to use. Test it on a few cases to see for yourself.
