Fine creases in the skin can appear very early on around the eyes, above the upper lip and on the cheeks, and these areas are particularly difficult to treat. The aim is not to fill, but rather to smooth and “iron out” these areas of skin using a fluid hyaluronic acid product. But this is not always enough: in order to achieve a polished result, we ideally need to combine this smoothing process with a treatment or procedure to improve the skin texture and quality over the long term.

A “healthy glow”: what all women want

Looking youthful is not only a question of wrinkles or proportions. It is also a question of the skin’s quality and texture. The true age of a woman with a smooth, well-proportioned face can be betrayed by skin that lacks radiance or has an uneven complexion.

Do you want better skin, a more radiant complexion? If I ask my patients this question today, I can be sure that they will all answer yes!

Because, what women today want more than anything is to be in tune with their age and to send out a positive image. This can be achieved by correcting any negative expressions and evening out the face’s volumes, but it also involves possessing all of the features of healthy, youthful skin: firm skin with no flaws, no marks and plenty of radiance. It is the famous glow that all women dream about!

This is why I always associate any correcting and volumising treatments with a treatment to smooth superficial lines and a skin bio-revitalisation treatment (using NCTF® 135 HA from Filorga) to reboot collagen synthesis and densify the dermis. This rejuvenates the face in a harmonious and coherent way.

Collagen and elastic fibres: the two cornerstones for dense and firm skin

One of the most obvious aspects of skin aging is caused by the deterioration of two essential properties: firmness and elasticity. The former relies on collagen fibres, and the latter on elastic fibres, mainly made up of elastin. Collagen and elastin are both synthesised by the fibroblasts, whose activity slows down with age. This deterioration can be accelerated by external or lifestyle factors: sun, smoking, diet, stress, etc. These aging processes lead to cutaneous ptosis and a loss of the facial volumes. Correcting the signs of aging using hyaluronic acid injections cannot slow down these phenomena, because the loss of firmness and elasticity is not treated at the source. “Rebooting” the dormant fibroblasts in order to rekindle the synthesis of collagen and elastin is the only way to revitalise the skin in depth and really improve the skin quality.

Smoothing fine lines while rebooting collagen and elastic fibre synthesis: the accomplishment of ART FILLER® Fine Lines from Filorga

I was delighted when I discovered ART FILLER® Fine Lines from Filorga Laboratories: it is a filler product which has a very smoothing texture and is easy to inject, perfectly adapted for superficial wrinkles.

The unique characteristic of this product lies in its ability to significantly induce the synthesis of collagen and elastic fibres. This leads to the densification and restructuring of the dermis, meaning that we treat both the consequences and causes of skin aging at the same time!

Smoothing superficial wrinkles: point by point and nappage techniques

The periorbital area is particularly fragile: this is usually where the first signs of aging appear. We therefore need to use a specific product and a suitable technique to treat this area.

In order to treat crow’s feet, I inject ART FILLER Fine Lines using the point by point technique all the way along the line. The injections are made into the superficial dermis. To ensure the smoothing process is even and natural-looking, it is important to carefully massage the injected area to spread the product evenly.

The area around the mouth can also display early signs of aging: the famous “barcode” or “smoker” lines. Fine lines can be smoothed using the point by point technique into the superficial dermis, always using small quantities of product to avoid lifting the lip too much. Here again, a massage is required to distribute the product evenly.

Finally, to treat vertical lines on the cheeks, I employ the nappage technique with a cannula.

To deeply nourish and revitalise the skin, I like to complement these ART FILLER Fine Lines injections with a series of 3 to 5 skin bio-revitalisation sessions using NCTF® 135 HA by Filorga. The complexion becomes more even, the skin becomes more radiant and firmer, and the pores are less visible. It is a real boost of youthfulness for the skin! It enables patients to increase or preserve their beauty capital.
