Using tissue inducers for aesthetic purposes is quite complex because the procedure needs to be properly explained to patients. This treatment is intended more for informed patients who want to maintain their youth and their face in an optimal and natural-looking way.
Precision and safety for long-term effects
With both a preventative and a rejuvenating action, treatments using tissue inducers aim to preserve the face’s freshness for as long as possible while subtly correcting any flaws that appear with age. This is why I find Ellansé® to be so useful, thanks to its formulation and its effects over the long term. It can be used at any age, on any skin types, and on men as well as women. The product is formulated with 30% caprolactone spheres in a carrier gel of carboxymethylcellulose. It is well tolerated thanks to the small size and regularity of the perfectly-smooth microspheres, which allow it to be distributed evenly in the skin and avoids any inflammatory reaction. It is indicated for the skin quality, to provide a bit of volume and tighten the skin. In my practice, I offer this product to patients who want a gradual treatment, over the long term, which is long-lasting and natural-looking.
Subtle and harmonious for an aesthetic balance
The gel is volumising with no projecting effect. It will either fill or smooth, depending on the injection plan, the targeted area and the technique used. I use a cannula to inject small boluses, never more than 0.2ml, into the deep fat compartments to restore lost volume. When I place the product subcutaneously using a cannula and a retro-tracing pattern, I achieve a nice tensing effect on the cheeks as well as tightening the oval. Using the nappage technique, it smooths wrinkled skin and redensifies the skin by creating more matter as the months go on, which has a tensing effect. I use Ellansé when I (and the patient!) want a subtle correction over the long term, as the product settles in over the months and the results therefore look very natural. Once the product’s tissue-inducing qualities have become established, with the conductor gel being gradually resorbed two or three months after treatment, the volumes are recreated with the induction of new type 1 collagen fi bres. By decomposing in the two to three months following injection, Ellansé causes the organism to produce new type 1 collagen, which has been proven by clinical studies. We use it in the middle third of the face, the temples, the chin and the oval, if it is showing early signs of skin sagging. As a general rule, for a face that requires more significant reconstruction, we recommend correcting any major lost volumes with HA and, three months later, doing a treatment with Ellansé to smooth and restore the skin quality and boost the skin density, for a long lifespan and long-lasting results, since patients treated with this product remove only come back every two years.
A holistic and very precise treatment
It is possible to treat a patient with filler on the same day, as long as we do not inject it into the same areas. I really appreciate the MaiLi® range of hyaluronic acids for its diverse textures and its dynamic and non-freezing properties thanks to the Oxyfree® cross-linking technology. For the under-eye circle, I use Precise, a supple HA that can be injected into the under-eye circle without causing any overcorrection, as its suppleness allows it to integrate well into thinner areas. I also use it to discreetly redefine the lip line. To iron out a nasolabial fold, I use MaiLi Volume, a supple volumiser that allows us to preserve the expressions and natural look of the face when it is in movement. Finally, Extreme is indicated for areas such as hollow temples or to restructure the oval and especially the angle of the jaw, because Extreme is a projecting gel that is also dynamic.
With this combined approach, I really like the skin quality achieved with Ellansé and the natural movement offered by the MaiLi range. I can see it becoming a founding trend for collagen restoration, as patients begin to understand the long-term advantages.
