Clinical expertise and feedback
The constant evolution of technologies in aesthetic medicine has profoundly modified
my approach to skin treatments. For me, as a doctor, it is vital that I stay up-to-date
with these advances in order to offer my patients innovative, efficient and, above all, safe solutions.
In this context, my aim is to offer treatments that answer my patients’ various requirements, whether that involves aesthetic improvements or treating more complex pathologies. One of the major challenges has always been to find a device that is versatile, comfortable and adapted to all skin types, all year round. This is how laser technologies came to be such a valuable asset in my clinic and why I chose to include them in my daily practice.
A versatile and safe solution
My priority when choosing devices is to find tools that are capable of being adapted to my patients’ many requirements and to treat them efficiently, while guaranteeing optimal safety and performance. For me, it is vital to find the technologies that can offer them suitable treatments, regardless of their skin type and the time of year.
In my research, the Nd:YAG lasers with a short impulse duration stand out from the others because they allow us to treat a large number of indications for all skin types, including darker skins, all year round, without any pain or downtime. Since this new generation laser technology has been introduced in my practice, I have seen a clear improvement in how different skin indications can be managed. Whether it is to treat pigmentary lesions, vascular lesions, acne or for skin rejuvenation, the advanced technology of these lasers allows me to offer my patients tailored treatments. I decided upon the Neo Elite from Aerolase, which I integrated into my clinic over six months ago. Its mechanism of action – which uses short, high-energy 650-microsecond impulses – allows for targeted absorption, avoiding any overheating and minimising the side effects, and thus offering visible results, without any discomfort or downtime.
Promising results for an extended range of treatments
After six months of using this device, the results obtained with the laser technology are encouraging, namely for treating inflammatory acne and complex pigmentary lesions such as melasma. What is more, its ability to efficiently treat all skin phototypes, including dark skins, is a major asset in my daily practice. The fact that we can use this technology risk-free on darker skins or tanned skins in summer is a real advance.
Increased patient satisfaction
One of the aspects that my patients most appreciate is undoubtedly the absence of pain during the treatments and the fact that they can get back to their daily life straight afterwards. This is an essential criterion, especially within the framework of aesthetic treatments, where patient comfort is a priority. This factor, combined with results that are quickly visible and with a low risk of complications, allowed us to significantly improve patient satisfaction, leading them to return to us regularly for other additional treatments.
Including these advanced laser technologies in my practice has really transformed my way of tacking aesthetic treatments. These technologies offer a versatile and effective solution that fulfils my patients’ expectations while guaranteeing their comfort and safety. Though a number of technologies are available on the market, this new generation is shaking things up and, for me, is an essential, reliable and efficient tool.
