Meet the first synthetic exosome developed in Europe

  • 27th January 2025
  • Thierry PIOLATTO

Launched in March 2024, INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN by INNOAESTHETICS is the first synthetic exosome developed in Europe, designed to replicate the benefits of endogenous exosomes. Less than a year since its debut, this innovative product has delivered exceptional results in skin regeneration, alopecia treatment, and other dermato-aesthetic concerns.

THE ROLE OF EXOSOMES IN AESTHETIC MEDICINE

Exosomes are microscopic vesicles secreted by cells that play a vital role in intercellular communication. Known for their regenerative properties, such as healing damaged skin, they offer promising solutions for skin and hair conditions by acting at a cellular level. However, in many countries, the use of biological exosomes for cosmetic purposes is restricted due to risks associated with their genetic material content. This has driven scientists to explore safer and more ethical alternatives.

INNOAESTHETICS has set a new standard by developing a 100% synthetic alternative.
INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN, created through rigorous research, is free from animal and plant origins and has quickly become one of the brand’s top-selling products.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN

The exosome-like molecules in INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN are manufactured at INNOAESTHETICS’ state-of-the-art pharmaceutical plant in Barcelona, using proprietary NARBEX™ Technology (Non-Animal Regenerative Bioengineering Exosome). This technology replicates the bioactive components of cell-derived exosomes by crosslinking amino acid chains into synthetic molecules that mimic their signaling functions.

Dr. Víctor García Guevara, Medical Director at INNOAESTHETICS, explains: “We use essential amino acids involved in the synthesis of collagen, elastin, DNA, and glutathione. These are assembled into peptide chains, gelled, and crosslinked into helical fibrils. By adjusting the pH, we form nanospheres that act as synthetic exosome-like molecules.”

He continues: “Signalling peptides, short amino acid sequences, are crucial in biotherapeutics and inspired INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN. These synthetic molecules act as cellular messengers, stimulating the skin’s natural regenerative processes.” Each vial of INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN contains 200 million exosome-like molecules, scientifically engineered to promote safe and effective skin regeneration, improving quality and appearance.

RESULTS THAT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

Clinical trials and practitioner feedback highlight the versatility and efficacy of INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN in aesthetic treatments. The before-and-after pictures highlight the results of patients who underwent three treatment sessions at 21-day intervals, revealing visible improvements in skin and hair health.

ETHICAL AESTHETICS AND NATURAL RESULTS

INNOAESTHETICS is committed to promoting natural beauty through innovative and ethical practices. CEO Fernando Bouffard emphasises:  “We aim to help people feel confident and empowered by embracing a natural approach to aging gracefully. INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN reflects our dedication to delivering safe, effective, and science-based solutions for aesthetic professionals worldwide.”

By combining cutting-edge technology with a commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, INNOAESTHETICS is redefining the future of aesthetic medicine with INNO-EXOMA® EXO-SKIN leading the way.
