Zeltiq, manufacturer of the CoolSculpting® device and the world’s leading manufacturer of cryolipolysis equipment, has decided to increase its efforts to protect the brand and defend its patents.
The company has hired several law firms in Europe to ensure that the brand’s intellectual property rights are respected and to prevent certain manufacturers or medical surgeries from infringing upon its patents and illegally using any names, statements or documents that are strictly reserved for those in possession of a CoolSculpting® device.
In France, the Parisian firm Hoffman, a specialist in the preservation and defence of intellectual and intangible assets, is supporting and advising Zeltiq in this area. The first formal notices for illegal imitation and unfair, prejudicial and criminal use have recently been issued.
