Beyond Beauty ASEAN Bangkok(BBAB) is all about networking, learning and sharing in both the local and international arenas. The 5th edition is proud to present a new feature, “Beauty Made in Thailand”, during 20 to 22 September 2018, at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.
Two shows, one venue – BBAB Finished Products and BBAB Supply Chain
In 2018, BBAB 2018 has launched the concept, “Two Shows, One Venue”, featuring “BBAB Finished Products” and “BBAB Supply Chain”. Over 400 manufacturers from Europe, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand will be showcasing perfumery, cosmetics and toiletries; professional beauty salon and spa; hair and nails; herbal products; natural and organic; and nutraceuticals and dietary supplements products and services under BBAB Finished Products. More than 300 packaging materials; contract manufacturing / OEM / ODM; machinery and equipment; and private label suppliers will be exhibiting under BBAB Supply Chain.
These two segments, with separate entrances and different targeted visitor promotion, aim to better serve the exhibitors by attracting the relevant buyers for each segment.
Facts and figures of BBAB 2017:
664 companies from 18 international pavilions including Spain, Germany, Poland, France, UK, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, China, India, Pakistan, Myanmar and New Zealand have joined in BBAB 2017. We enlarged our Korean pavilion with our partner—KINTEX to bring 200+ companies from Korea this time to showcase the authentic K-beauty. BBAB 2017 has grown into No.1 show in ASEAN region.
With a delighted increase of 10%, we are proud to have host 13,098 visitors during the three days. Among them 81% is local visitors and 19% are from international countries. Visitors from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and other ASEAN regions are seeing BBAB as a major sourcing platform to find international products and partners.
269 VIP buyers from Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, China and other countries in the ASEAN region are mainly importers and distributors specializing in bringing international brands into the ASEAN beauty market. A program of 2000+ B2B match making meetings have been accomplished during the three days.
Highlights of BBAB 2018:
“Beauty Made in Thailand” Project
In collaboration with Thai Cosmetic Manufacturer Association (TCMA), Thai beauty culture will be highlighted through “Beauty Made in Thailand”. Using an integrated approach, beauty and cosmetics brands; beauty medical devices; food supplements; natural and organic products will be incorporated in the “Beauty Made in Thailand” project. 120 international buyers from Asia will be invited to visit the pavilion to discover and experience the Thai brands.
The Thai beauty market represents a vibrant environment with immense potential, which will be explored via multi-disciplinary sharing sessions, targeted at by both buyers and sellers.
BBAB Walk the World Program
BBAB is organizing a series of events both within Thailand and internationally to increase its brand awareness and to create new alliances and synergies in each country with local key players of the beauty industry.
In January, two workshops were organized in Thailand and Korea. Each event has attracted more than 200 attendees of local beauty players. This is not only a promotion workshop of the show but also an educational program as we invite key industry experts from both brands and beauty retails as well as consulting and data analyze companies such as Nilesen/ Kantar Worldpanel to share about market information.
