Combine the EMFACE and/or EXION applicators with other techniques
EMFACE (forehead, cheeks and under the chin), EXION Fractional RF, EXION Face and EXION RF Clear make up a complete arsenal for treating the skin quality, improving its appearance and tightening it up.
I like combining different procedures, and BTL offers a technical platform that I can use on its own or combined with other treatments, depending on my patients’ requirements. This fulfils their expectations for fewer injections of filler product and skin that looks radiant with health.
Unlike a current that leads us to treat the structure then the surface, I like to first use energy-based devices because improving the skin’s texture and suppleness, firmness and complexion boosts the patient’s self-esteem. Next, we can inject small doses of product, or even insert threads if required. The patients’ desire to “rejuvenate” and beautify their skin has now become a desire to look serene and confident as they get older.
EMFACE perfectly responds to these new expectations: its technology (HIFES® synchronised with monopolar radiofrequency) works on the skin’s appearance and quality in addition to having a tightening effect. I recommend a top-up session every three months, which is the time it takes for collagen synthesis to kick in, whose production EMFACE increases by 26 to 27% 1 after 3 months. At the same time, its action on the elevator muscles when at rest induces an overall lifting effect of 23.1% 2. My patients really like this treatment, as it “refreshes” their face in such a way that it does not look like an attempt to appear younger. And for those who do go on to have injections, it enables me to use less product and space the injection sessions out further.
In patients whose skin is saggier or more damaged, I start with a session of EXION Face. Its simultaneous radiofrequency and targeted ultrasounds prepare the skin for the EXION Fractional RF with microneedling, which makes a real difference. This microneedling treatment has two main advantages: one single passage is required per session and, above all, the delivery depth is controlled by AI and stops just above the pain receptors. We no longer need to apply an anaesthetic cream, and it is more comfortable for both the patient and the doctor, allowing them to work efficiently without having to stop the session if it becomes too painful.
Equipped with its new RF Clear tip, EXION RF also allows for intelligent and even micro-ablation to repair any damaged caused by the sun, correct the skin’s pigmentation and irregular complexion, and improve the general texture of the skin. These treatments are suitable for all ages. The earlier we start, the more we can stimulate and preserve the skin’s tonicity, and the less damage there is to repair. When combined with other procedures, they allow us to optimise the results.
We might also add a Kobido massage to enhance glow, tonicity and micro-stimulation!
