As a plastic surgeon in Paris, I seek to offer my patients efficient and safe solutions, whether through surgery or semi-invasive treatments. I included EXION™ RF microneedling in my practice because it is an essential tool for improving wrinkles, scars and the skin quality.
My aim is always to offer the most suitable solution for every patient. Surgery allows us to efficiently treat certain cases of sagging or excess skin, but it does not address all requirements. If the sagging is moderate and the patient would rather have a less invasive alternative or wants to work on their acne scars or improve their skin’s texture, elasticity and quality, I would recommend EXION™ RF microneedling. EXION™ RF microneedling is also a useful tool for treating post-operative scarring.
This technology combines microneedling with fractional radiofrequency, driven by artificial intelligence. The idea is to emit a thermal gradient that penetrates beyond the real depth of the needles, stimulating the fibroblasts in depth while limiting any discomfort. For my patients, this means a comfortable treatment session, visible results on skin quality, and a limited amount of downtime. We gradually increase the intensity over the course of the sessions, to avoid any side effects. In my practice, I have noticed that this treatment is particularly useful for treating scars. Acne scars, which are often tricky to correct, can be significantly improved with the EXION™, as it evens out the skin texture and erases any irregularities. Similarly, on surgical scars, this technology is ideal for post-operative care, as it softens the tissue and promotes better skin regeneration. We see a noticeable improvement in terms of healing, and inflammation is reduced. With regard to aging, I use EXION™ RF microneedling to treat wrinkles and early-stage skin laxity. It is also a great treatment after a lift or blepharoplasty, as it maintains the harmony and natural look of the result. Its efficacy is backed up by clinical data, with over 90% patient satisfaction and a noticeable improvement to wrinkles and scars after just a few sessions. Histological studies show that it efficiently stimulates collagen and elastin production, which are both essential elements for skin firmness and density.
My preferred protocol includes four to six sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, depending on the indications. From the very first session, my patients see an improvement in their skin texture, and the results get better over time. The absence of downtime is a major plus point for active patients who want an effective treatment without any constraints. We have also drawn up protocols that combine EXION™ RF microneedling with other treatments such as skinbooster injections, exosomes and injections of nano fat stem cells. Combining these procedures enhances their efficacy, which is something our patients really appreciate.
For me, EXION™ RF microneedling is much more than an aesthetic tool. It is a real complement to plastic surgery that enables me to achieve natural-looking, safe and long-lasting results for my patients; it allows me to treat patients across the whole spectrum of rejuvenation, from semi-invasive treatments right up to the most advanced surgical techniques.
