Amwc south east asia 2026 Thailand

  • 16th July 2026
  • Thierry PIOLATTO

Aesthetic medicine and longevity 2030: The future starts now.

From 26th to 28th November, Thailand is hosting the next AMWC South East Asia in Bangkok, which will be centred around three main themes – aesthetic medicine, anti-aging and longevity – and four dimensions: WHY (focus on longevity) – aesthetic medicine in the longevity era; HOW (focus on clinical precision) – advanced operations in aesthetic medicine; MASTERY (clinical mastery, safety and excellence); WHAT (CATALYST phase). These topics will all be addressed in Thailand, alongside a cutting-edge wellness and longevity offer.

Aesthetic medicine and longevity 2030: the future starts now

The future of aesthetic medicine is being written today with an ever more extensive palette of medical aesthetic treatments and procedures being coupled with longevity and anti-aging. This complementary nature highlights the AMWC’s organisers’ desire to expand their community of doctors in order to address key topics that are now firmly anchored in our treatment landscape. The 2026 edition of the conference, AMWC South East Asia 2026, will bring together top experts in aesthetic medicine, dermatology and longevity science to explore the forthcoming evolutions in our discipline and plan ahead for what aesthetic medicine and longevity will look like between now and 2030.

In constant collaboration with the Dermatological Society of Thailand (DST) and the Aesthetic Multispecialty Society (AMS), and with the support of the American Academy of Anti Aging Medicine (A4M), this year’s conference bears witness to a profound transformation in patient expectations and clinical practice.

Longevity is no longer a secondary topic: it has become a central pillar in aesthetic medicine. Today, patients are not only seeking visible results but also good skin quality for the long term, prevention and better overall health. This evolution requires a more integrated approach, where aesthetic treatments and longevity strategies work together in perfect synergy.

AMWC South East Asia 2026 is designed to accompany this transition. Its scientific programme makes the connection between proven techniques and up-and-coming advances, offering up practical ways of optimising the current practices and preparing everyone for the challenges of tomorrow.

The road to 2030 is already taking shape. The next five years will see significant progress made in terms of technologies, regenerative medicine and personalised treatments, and a number of these innovations have already been integrated into clinical practice. If we want to stay one step ahead, we have to act now. From expert-led sessions to enthusiastic discussions to a superb exhibition that presents the latest innovations, this conference provides the ideal platform for learning, discussing and planning for the future.

The conference is held over two days and is set out like a clinical pathway, designed to reflect the way in which aesthetic medicine is evolving into a more integrated discipline that is practice orientated and centred around longevity. It answers four major questions:

1. WHY (focus on longevity): Aesthetic medicine in the longevity era.

These sessions go deeper into the clinical understanding of the biology of aging and systemic influences by connecting the science of longevity with visible aesthetic results and planning ahead for new patient expectations and treatment approaches.

2. HOW (focus on clinical precision): Advanced aesthetic operations.

This theme covers aesthetic treatments: injections, regenerative treatments, energy-based devices, lasers, pigmentation, skin quality, hair restoration and cosmetics. It focuses on the techniques, protocols and combined strategies used in daily practice.

3. MASTERY (clinical mastery, safety and excellence)

Key discussions to address complications, risk management and sub-optimal results, to explore complex cases and clinical decision-making. They include the key aspects of clinical excellence, namely consultation strategies, patient communication, positioning and the durability of our practice.

4. WHAT (CATALYST phase): The future of aesthetic medicine

Particular attention will be paid to up-and-coming technologies, innovations and evolving treatment paradigms. Debates, expert opinions and sectorial analyses will be organised to explore the future practice models, particularly digital transformation and how businesses are evolving.

The conference’s “Longevity Programme” will look at several topics in more depth, such as:

• The founding principles of longevity in aesthetic practice

• The biology of aging

• The science of skin aging

• Peptides / bioregulation

• Metabolic and hormonal influences

• Prevention and living longer in good health

Designed as a practical introduction to longevity medicine for aesthetic practitioners, the Longevity programme explores the biological founding principles of aging and their direct influence on health and skin regeneration, as well as on patient results. The sessions will provide clinicians with a common scientific language about aging, while translating the up-and-coming longevity concepts into applicable strategies for aesthetic consultations and treatment planning.

At AMWC South East Asia, scientific excellence goes hand in hand with a strong community spirit. Whether you are taking part for the first time or are a regular attendee, we hope that you leave feeling inspired, supported and fully involved in this group venture.

Thailand at the heart of longevity

Close collaboration between Thailand’s Tourist Office in Paris and the Aesthetic and Anti-aging World Congress (AMWC) allowed the 2026 edition of the AMWC South East Asia in Bangkok to be optimised to include a post-conference session on the 28th November at the Rajavithi Hospital. The event will bring together 2,500 to 3,000 international participants, including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aesthetics doctors and industry leaders. The aim of this collaboration is to promote Thailand as a hub for medical and wellness excellence, by highlighting the conference’s high scientific standards as well as Thai culture, traditions and hospitality. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the country’s wellness culture and medical advances, thus enriching their personal and professional experience. We are taking the opportunity to give you a sneak preview of some must-visit spots.

Banyan Tree

An outstanding tropical experience

Nestled on the peaceful hillside above Tubkaek beach, the Banyan Tree Krabi boasts stunning views of the spectacular tower karsts that rise out of the Andaman Sea. Inhabitants of the Krabi province call the nearby Dragon Crest mountain “Grand Naga”, a mythical creature considered to be the king of snakes, a protector from bad spirits and dangers. The design of the dining areas helps to preserve Krabi’s rich cultural heritage. Rocky textures marry the aesthetic of the recurrent serpentine elements and blend in perfectly with the traditional decorative elements of southern Thailand, such as fish motifs, natural materials such as rattan and golden rice plants, symbols of abundance. Its award-winning spa, the Banyan Tree Spa, and its range of exclusive treatments make it the ideal destination for an intimate getaway.

Banyan Tree Spa Krabi

With its 8 treatment booths, selection of ColorCalm treatments and “The Rainforest” holistic wellness hydrotherapy experience, the Banyan Tree Spa Krabi is the ideal place for an indulgent wellness break. Designed and developed by the Banyan Tree Spa, “The Rainforest” is a complete hydrothermal experience that combines the best European spa treatments with hydrothermal treatments — the very essence of Asian wellness – creating a haven of serenity, warmth and comfort. Thanks to its different hydrothermal experiences, each one designed to soothe and revitalise different parts of the body, the Banyan Tree Spa offers a truly holistic and regenerative wellness experience.

The Rainforest is designed to imitate the power of natural healing through the five senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. Allow yourself to be enchanted by soft aurora borealis lighting, the soothing babble of water, the delicate aroma of nature, the caress of the current, and the exquisite taste of aromatic herbs.

To exercise your senses, start with your sight. Light, one of the universe’s purest curative forces, immerses you in a unique sensory experience: aurora borealis. Continue with hearing and the sound of water, a natural meditation that invites you to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. This soothing sound was carefully selected by the Banyan Tree Spa, the perfect ally to help you to release any tension and create a relaxing atmosphere. Once your sight and hearing have soothed your mind, the sensual aroma of fresh and dried Thai herbs envelops you with a stimulating aroma. Take a deep breath out, releasing your stress and worries. Your mind will feel soothed and serene, and ready for your next sensory voyage: Touch, which involves a walk in the rain, a steam room, sauna, outdoor cold-water pool surrounded by tropical plants and a natural waterfall, heated outdoor pool, jet pool, ice fountain, vitality pool and Hydrojet, and ends with a relaxing foot massage on a hydromassage chair.

Excursions

Thanks to the luxuriant and varied nature in Dragon Crest Mountain natural park, you can take a walk, hike and recharge your batteries among the indigenous flora and fauna, while exploring picturesque hiking trails, stunning viewpoints and waterfalls. You can also hop on board the White Pearl, a traditional long-tailed canoe, an emblematic feature of local life in the coastal communities of southern Thailand, and explore idyllic destinations such as the islands of Hong, Lao Lading and Pak Bia.

Amataya wellness

Optimise your health

In Khlong Thom, in the prefecture of Krabi, this retreat and treatment venue is built around a natural thermal saltwater spring: a geological resource that represents that foundation of the whole sanctuary. Instead of being designed as a conventional hotel complex, the site was intentionally created to be an energising destination where the natural geothermal features and preventative philosophy coexist in a harmonious environment. A naturally heated geothermal saltwater spring runs through the heart of the property. The water springs out at a temperature of 37-42°C and is enriched with natural saline minerals and elements from subterranean geological processes. The retreat space offers limited accommodation, designed according to a low-density concept in order to preserve its exclusive nature, peace and spacial balance.

Amataya adheres to the preventative Genesenn philosophy, which favours optimising health before any illnesses appear. It helps boost the circulation, balance the metabolism, regulate stress, and reset the body’s systems thanks to a structured wellness programme. The establishment includes the Amataya rehabilitation hospital, the Amataya holistic medical centre and the Amataya apartment complex. For centuries, these unique thermal springs, the only ones of their kind in the world, thanks to their exceptional mineral composition and ideal temperature, allow for high-quality treatments for various illnesses. The baths are particularly beneficial for soothing pain, insomnia and fatigue, improving blood circulation and detoxifying the body. The aim is to reset the body’s balance, strengthen the immune system and reduce the risk of chronic illness.

Traditional Thaï massage

Traditional Thai massage, carried out by professionals, is a tool for preventing strokes. Derived from Wat Pho Thai Massage, this specific massage technique was invented and designed to improve the blood circulation and therefore prevent and reduce the risk of stroke. The baths are especially beneficial for soothing pain, insomnia and fatigue, improving blood flow and detoxifying the body.

Physiotherapy services

Patients with neurological and cerebral issues require physical and mental rehabilitation. Physiotherapy, coupled with thermal saltwater baths, can stimulate the circulation and sensory perception, and can be completed with a stem cell treatment to regenerate the damaged nerves.
