Dinard, with its 407 listed buildings on the Emerald Coast, has been a well-known seaside resort since the Roaring Twenties and still attracts large numbers of tourists and spa clients thanks to its prime location looking out across the island of Cézembre, near Saint-Malo and Saint-Briac.
Anchored in the landscape since the 1990s and fully renovated in 2024, this thalassotherapy establishment boasts 103 rooms with a sea view, 64 facing inland, 2 restaurants – L’Osens and L’Arsaour – and a bar called L’Horizon. The beauty suite houses 58 treatment rooms, two spas – one of which is dedicated to anti-aging and weight loss – a marine circuit with a counter-current walking path, a 32°C outdoor marine circuit, a sensory pool with a sauna, steam room and 12°C cold seawater pool, and a gym. A range of treatments and massages are available, including the “Women’s Heart” package.
“Expert” programmes
The palette of treatments is extensive and includes short stays and packages that focus on energy and weight loss, plus a series of original, individualised programmes packaged as “breaks”: Second Life, Rejuvenating Dip, Longevity, Sea of Sleep, Let Go. The “Longevity Break” is a 5-day stay that includes 21 treatments and 2 assessments. The aim is to help guests tweak their daily habits in order to improve their physical health and memory. It starts with a Cardiocheck assessment and an iMoove Fit posture assessment. Guests then enjoy 3 memory-boosting workshops, 1 oxygenation walk, 2 iMoove Fit sessions and 1 aqua gym session, before taking some time to relax with 1 Kansu ayurvedic massage, 2 Hydrorelax collagen massages and 1 Zen massage. The skin is regenerated with facial treatments such as the pioneering Phytomer Global Anti-Age treatment, and the body is recharged with classic thalassotherapy treatments such as wraps, drainage and saltwater seaweed baths.
The “Women’s Heart” package
We tried out this new package, which invites guests to “listen to their heart”. This 6-day package includes 21 treatments and 2 assessments. Guests first undergo a preliminary health assessment with the establishment’s doctor, which includes an impedance analysis and a Cardicheck assessment. If you so wish, you can wear a Withings ScanWatch Nova connected watch throughout your stay to track your data. This first appointment allows your personalised programme to be drawn up according to the answers given to a questionnaire designed in collaboration with Suriia, an innovative platform dedicated to personalised preventative health that can identify your risk factors. Five treatments are matched to your requirements, with the aim of helping you “feel more serene” with a Kansu treatment or “get moving again” with a Zen massage. Once your aims have been established, you can regenerate your body and mind thanks to the benefits of thalassotherapy: 2 seawater baths, 2 wraps, 1 marine drainage, 2 Pressodynamie sessions, 2 hydrorelax sessions, 2 marine showers. You are then invited to relax and release any tension with 1 facial massage and 1 ancestral Abhyanga ayurvedic massage, which envelops the body with sweeping and flowing movements, performed using warm sesame oil. A true rebalancing ritual, it reboots the vital energy, soothes the heart and promotes detoxification by eliminating any accumulated tension. In addition to promoting deep relaxation, this treatment boosts your vitality, improves sleep quality and helps rebalance the mind and body.
To round it off, you are treated to an energy-boosting wellbeing fascia session, which focuses on the fine membranes that connect the muscles, organs and body structure to release any accumulated tension and rebalance the body’s harmony. The slow, precise movements pay attention to what is going on inside the body, to help you move more freely, lightly and with more energy.
